So Much To Enjoy This Fall.

There’s nothing quite like fall in Brandenburg, Kentucky. Come September and October, the entire state is painted in rich red, bold orange, vibrant yellow, and stunning gold hues. The first day of fall is Sept. 23 2023 and, if you’re like us here at Lancaster Lawn & Landscaping, LLC, you’re already counting down the days.  Fall is by far our favorite time of year not only because of the crisp fall air and the natural beauty that comes with fall, but also because there are so many fun, family-oriented events locally.  If you’re wondering when and where to expect a few of these local events to take place read on.

Kentucky really is one of the most beautiful places in the country.  If you’re looking for a way to really take it all in, a ride aboard My Old Kentucky Dinner Train really is one of the best ways to do just that. This nostalgic passenger train rolls through some of Kentucky’s most scenic areas, offering breathtaking views of The Bluegrass State.

The Glendale Crossing Festival is always held on the 3rd Saturday in October and hosts roughly 500 art, craft and food booths. They also have the Crossing Festival Parade, featuring a huge assortment of floats, cars, old tractors and everything else that makes a parade special!  You can’t leave the crossing festival without sitting down for a delicious meal at the historic Whistle Stop Café.

Roberts Family Farm is the perfect place to create memories and spend simple, quality time together with your family. There is something for everyone to enjoy including Pumpkin Patch, Hayrides, Corn maze, Momma Rob's Bakery, etc. Visit Roberts Family Farm on September 16th to be apart of the Great Pumpkin Pursuit.  Bring a chair and spend the day taking in all there is to see.

The historic Holt House is “A must see stop” like nothing else in Kentucky!  The Holt House Community Day is being held on September 23, 2023.  Enjoy a fun-filled day with family and friends with events like guided tours of the Holt Home, interactive reenactments with guests dressed for the era, a silent auction, cannon firing, a vintage Civil War era baseball game, a presidential wreath-laying ceremony at the Holt monument, patriotic and period music with spirited dancing, distinguished guest speakers, Breckinridge County High School Concert Band, Kentucky Home Guard Band, Guilderoy Byrne Band, various reenactors and so much more!sidential wreath-laying ceremony at the Holt monument, patriotic and period music

Spend an evening on Brandenburg's Historic Main Street on October 26 the for Spirits & Spirits while trying and tasting some of Kentucky's Finest Bourbons. You very well may be able to experience another type of spirit!  Don’t forget to grab dinner at Jailhouse Pizza, you will not be disappointed. D

The Battletown Witch Festival will be held Saturday, October 28th.  This family-friendly event will celebrate the complicated and tragic life of Leah Smock. Speakers will include, historians, local authors, and writers of Weird Meade County. This event will also celebrate the spooky season with lead-up activities. Learn more at Battletownwitch.com
